Breakfast DATA and AI, Quantum Computing: First Achievements and Opportunities for Tomorrow
Hello,
ENSAE Alumni is pleased to invite you to its next DATA and AI breakfast
around the theme
Quantum Computing: First Achievements and Opportunities for Tomorrow
Although quantum computing has raisedgreat hopes since its emergence, it is also fraught with technical uncertainties .However, funding on each of the three technological platforms (US, China & EU) is currently in the tens of billions of dollars (private and public), and a company in the energy sector is taking a serious look at it. Nobel Prize winners and scientists are interested.
At this meeting, beyond the initial doubt of "Will it ever work, and when?", we will present the potential for success, for whom and for what uses, and on what horizons.
Joseph Mikael, head of EDF's Quantum Computing Program, will explain how this horizon has shortened considerably, so that concrete applications should emerge in the near future. Our guest will share his vision of developments in quantum computing and the opportunities it opens up in the energy sector and beyond.
Joseph Mikael is Head of Quantum Computation & Quantum Information project at EDF. He is a graduate of Paris Dauphine University and has taught at ENSAE.
