Editorial
Almost a year since the last issue! Readers are getting impatient, you might say! And rightly so, for here's a number 10 that's been a long time coming! So, what's been going on?
A lot has happened since issue 9! First of all, Variances has had a change of editor-in-chief - as you'll have noticed when you read "l'ours" - and I've had the honor and "heavy task" of taking over from Nicolas Denis. But don't see any correlation with the late appearance of this issue! Before I explain, I'd like to take this opportunity to thank Nicolas Denis, on behalf of the successive editorial committees, the association's board of directors and, I imagine, all our readers, for the work he has done for the association by taking charge of Variances since issue 4, after having been one of its founding members.
As for this issue, you should be aware that we wanted to change our advertising agency. In this kind of business, it takes a long time to find a trustworthy partner, especially when the one who should have been our partner doesn't appreciate our departure, for reasons that are quite justified but which I won't go into here, for obvious reasons.
Here's an opportunity to clarify the situation: the one and only advertising agency authorized to use the name of the Ensae Alumni Association, also known as ASTEC, in its marketing activities is now OFERSOP, which will also be responsible for selling advertising space in the yearbook.
In this way, thanks once again to your collaboration, we have once again produced a very full issue. A little too full, even, given our space constraints. As some authors were unable to be published in this issue, please accept our apologies and their publication in the next issue. Thank you in advance.
Variances is alive and well, and remains an open forum for all those of you who wish to publish an article here, or to inform the editorial team of a news item, a publication, a promotion or a name!
I wish you all a happy back-to-school and pleasant reading!
