Environment : The economic stakes
01 May 1994
Editorial
On February 1, at the initiative of our Association, over two hundred people gathered at the Palais du Luxembourg to discuss the theme: "What recovery for the French economy? The success of these first Entretiens de la Prévision exceeded our expectations: it was due as much to the promotional efforts you made within your companies, among your friends and colleagues, as to the quality and availability of the speakers.
We would like to reiterate our gratitude to all of you. The organization of this symposium is part of our policy of promoting Ensae outside the circles where it is traditionally recognized and appreciated. It revives a tradition that had somewhat disappeared. The fact that the majority of the audience was not from Ensae means that we have achieved our objective. In the next two weeks, you will receive a special issue of Variances devoted to the conference proceedings. Another contribution to the School's reputation is the second issue of Variances. The feedback we've received shows that the first issue had an impact far beyond alumni circles. But the Association remains first and foremost a place for alumni to meet and exchange ideas: whether it's support for the Bureau des Élèves, the Groupe Finance, job placement assistance or the directory, we're here for you long after you've left the École. The Annual General Meeting on June 16 will be an opportunity for you to demonstrate the importance you attach to the School and the Association, and to renew acquaintances with classmates you may have lost touch with over the years. We're counting on you to attend in large numbers and with great enthusiasm, not forgetting that the Association needs volunteers to continue and consolidate our efforts.
