Ensae Entrepreneurs Club
Organised by "Entrepreneurs Club"
Setting up a company and developing it from Budapest to Almaty to Vladivostok (the leap into globalization and emerging markets)
The event will be the occasion for the inaugural cocktail party of the Ensae Entrepreneurs club.
ENSAE alumni are also entrepreneurs. Entrepreneurship is a source of pride, a lifestyle choice, a source of joy, sometimes pain, and often difficulties of all kinds to overcome. The ENSAE Entrepreneurs Club initiative is part of the ENSAE Alumni Association's desire to offer its members the support and experience of those who have taken the plunge, so that they don't feel alone during the process - a major obstacle for anyone wishing to set up, take over or manage an SME. The ENSAE Entrepreneurs Club is a co-founder of France Entrepreneurs, the French club for entrepreneurs (www.france-entrepreneurs.com).
When Laurent Clerc left an expatriate position with a major French group 10 years ago, he gave up the guarantee of a secure career in favor of setting up his own business in the world of the 21st century: technology, globalization, emerging markets. "Selling systems to Russian, Kazakh, Georgian banks ... that's sport!"
Laurent Clerc, 41 (ENSAE 90), founded Statlogics in 1998 in Budapest. Today, Statlogics employs 70 people and is a major player in risk management and retail credit management solutions in the Central and Eastern European markets, as well as in the territory of the former Soviet Union. In 2008, over five million credit applications were managed by Statlogics solutions.
