Start-up week-end @HEC

FRIDAY 6pm: Everyone gathers for a drink to get to know each other and brainstorm. 7pm: Start of the Pitch Fire (for those who want to) 8pm: Teams form (there are usually around nine teams over the course of the weekend, creating 9 products or 9 companies). 9pm: Teams (hopefully) have consolidated their concept and created an "elevator pitch", even a very basic one (i.e. a lightning-fast, enthusiastic presentation of the project). 22h: Bar or coffee break to continue discussions and try to prototype the project on paper. SATURDAY 9am: Start of development work Noon: Lunch. 3pm: More coding, business plan development, and a special guest (music, venture capitalist, sponsor, etc.). Time to relax the neurons. 6pm: Special guest visits and team pitches. 9pm: Product testing; construction of basic prototypes; group get-together for drinks and to talk about everyone's products. SUNDAY 9am: The working day begins. Noon: Projects under development; registration sites (if required) set up; other special guests. 6 p.m.: Go or no go for those who want to launch the project and present it. 18h-20h: Presentations by each group/company, product demonstration, business plan.
